Year 8 students recently enjoyed an unforgettable visit from illustrator Liz Million, whose energetic and humorous presenting style instantly captured the imagination of the whole year group. Her talk gave students a genuine, behind‑the‑scenes look at what a career in illustration can involve — from character creation to working within the wider creative industry.
Bringing the Creative Process to Life
Following the whole‑group session, Liz delivered a hands‑on workshop where students had the opportunity to explore drawing techniques, experiment with ideas, and ask questions about the life of a professional illustrator. This practical element helped students understand how creativity and careers can come together in exciting ways.
A Session Full of Enthusiasm and Insight
Both staff and students came away inspired and motivated. Liz’s enthusiasm for her craft sparked fresh ideas, encouraged creativity and highlighted the many pathways that exist within the creative sector.
A Heartfelt Thank You
A huge thank you to Liz for sharing her expertise and passion — her visit left a lasting impression and encouraged our young people to think big about their futures.
