Faith in Action

"Faith in Action" refers to putting religious belief into practice through service, charity, and social justice. Over the last two years pupils from St. Michael’s have achieved bronze, silver and gold awards and have demonstrated their commitment in faith and charity across the wider school community. Pupils who strive to achieve the award meet weekly to share their faith experiences, prepare and lead their own celebration of the word and organise a range of charitable events for the wider school to enjoy. The Blessing of hands of service and Rosary during the months of October and May are a beautiful reminder of how pupils and staff come together to pray alongside each other.​

SVP

Our pupils at St. Michael’s also support the work of our parish SVP group and every December, our pupils visit the Billingham Food Hub which is run by parish volunteers. Our pupils help to shelf-stack and produce bags of food and seasonal gifts which are then distributed to local families. Pupils who support the work of the SVP also invite our local parishioners into school for afternoon tea and crafting sessions. A link to the SVP charity can be found below:
