In October, a group of adventurous Geography students from St. Michael’s Catholic Academy embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime educational trip to Iceland, exploring the breathtaking landscapes and natural wonders of the Land of Fire and Ice.
This unforgettable journey was packed with awe-inspiring experiences, including:
- Geothermal hot springs and geysers – discovering the power of Earth’s geothermal energy.
- Glacier and volcanic terrain exploration – witnessing firsthand the forces that shape our planet.
The highlight of the trip came on one magical evening when students witnessed the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) dancing across the Icelandic sky. Vivid shades of green and purple illuminated the night, leaving everyone speechless and inspired by the beauty of nature.
This incredible experience not only deepened students’ understanding of geography and environmental science but also created memories that will last a lifetime. At St. Michael’s, we believe in learning beyond the classroom—bringing education to life through real-world adventures.
