Year 10 students at St Michael’s Catholic Academy successfully completed their Work Experience placements, gaining first-hand insight into a wide range of industries and career pathways.
Placements included opportunities with:
- Middlesbrough Football Club
- Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service
- Nurseries, cafés, and retail businesses
- Engineering companies
- Archaeology settings
Hands-On Experiences and Skills Development
Alongside external placements:
- Some students explored careers in emergency care through activities at Teesside University
- Others worked with Learning Curve Group to develop practical construction skills
- Students applied these skills back in school by helping to improve plantation areas
