Year 10 students at St Michael’s Catholic Academy successfully completed their Work Experience placements, gaining first-hand insight into a wide range of industries and career pathways.

Placements included opportunities with:

  • Middlesbrough Football Club
  • Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service
  • Nurseries, cafés, and retail businesses
  • Engineering companies
  • Archaeology settings

Hands-On Experiences and Skills Development

Alongside external placements:

  • Some students explored careers in emergency care through activities at Teesside University
  • Others worked with Learning Curve Group to develop practical construction skills
  • Students applied these skills back in school by helping to improve plantation areas
