Our Year 7 students at St. Michael’s Catholic Academy enjoyed two incredible days at Seaton Carew Beach, reflecting and praying on the inspiring theme: “Making Positive Waves in Life.”
The retreat was filled with meaningful activities designed to encourage teamwork, creativity, and spiritual growth. Highlights included:
- Team-building challenges – from drawing tutor groups in the sand to creating sculptures inspired by school subjects.
- Nature-inspired photography – capturing the beauty of God’s creation by the sea.
- Footprint prayers and shell collecting – moments of reflection and gratitude.
- Creative collage wave – symbolising unity and the positive impact we can make together.
Our students were fantastic throughout, embracing every challenge with enthusiasm and joy. It was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen friendships, deepen faith, and celebrate the values that make our school community so special.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this retreat such a memorable and uplifting experience!
