Students from St Michael’s Catholic Academy in Billingham have just returned from an unforgettable ski trip to Serre Chevalier, France — and what a week it was! From the moment they clipped into their skis, our young skiers embraced every challenge with energy, courage and plenty of laughter.
Hitting the Slopes
With 30 students split into three groups, everyone enjoyed two hours of skiing each morning and two hours each afternoon, giving them the perfect balance of practice, progression and pure enjoyment. From confident first turns to impressive long‑slope runs, it was fantastic to see every student pushing themselves, cheering each other on and celebrating every success along the way.
Après‑Ski Adventures
The fun didn’t stop once the boots came off! Students enjoyed a packed programme of après‑ski activities, including:
- Taskmaster‑style challenges
- A lively music quiz
- A town trail
- A visit to a local historical town
- A games night full of laughs
These activities gave the group a brilliant chance to bond, unwind and make memories they’ll treasure for years to come.
A Trip to Remember
It’s safe to say that our students had the best time skiing. Their confidence soared, friendships strengthened, and they represented St Michael’s beautifully at every step.
Well done to all of our skiers — you made us incredibly proud. Same time next year?
