World Book Day at St Michael’s Catholic Academy

Last week, St Michael’s Catholic Academy brought stories to life as the whole school celebrated World Book Day with the exciting theme Heroes and Villains. The atmosphere was full of imagination, colour and creativity as both staff and students embraced the world of books.

Staff Step Into Character

Our dedicated staff fully embraced the theme, transforming into a brilliant range of characters from much‑loved books. From brave heroes to wonderfully wicked villains, their costumes added fun, excitement and plenty of smiles throughout the day.

Students Join the Fun

Our students got stuck into the celebrations with equal enthusiasm. The day included:

  • Themed quizzes
  • Sticky ball target challenges
  • A book vending machine full of surprises

The event was a fantastic celebration of reading, imagination and the joy that books bring to our school community.

A Day Worthy of Any Storybook

World Book Day at St Michael’s was a truly memorable occasion, reminding us all of the magic of reading and the power of storytelling. Thank you to everyone who took part and made the day so special!
