
A Trip Packed with Exciting Experiences
Students from Years 7 and 8 at St Michael’s Catholic Academy recently returned from an incredible trip to London, filled with unforgettable experiences and opportunities to learn beyond the classroom.
The action-packed visit gave students the chance to explore the capital, experience live performance and discover the magic behind one of the world's most famous film franchises.
Learning from a West End Star
The adventure began with a fantastic performing arts workshop led by West End performer Nikki Bentley.
Students participated in practical activities and enjoyed a fascinating question-and-answer session, where Nikki shared her experiences performing in productions including Wicked, Six and The Greatest Showman.
Exploring London's Famous Landmarks
The group then enjoyed a scenic boat trip along the River Thames, taking in many of London's iconic landmarks before attending Come Alive.
The spectacular circus-themed show captivated students with its outstanding performances, music and breathtaking acrobatics, creating a memorable highlight of the trip.
Stepping into the Wizarding World
On the second day, students enjoyed some free time for shopping before visiting Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.
They took part in a behind-the-scenes workshop exploring how magical creatures are brought to life for the films before touring the studios and experiencing the magic of the Wizarding World firsthand.
Excellent Ambassadors for the Academy
Throughout the trip, students represented St Michael’s Catholic Academy brilliantly and were a credit to the school.
The visit provided wonderful opportunities for learning, personal development and creating memories that will last for years to come.
