We’re thrilled to announce that St. Michael’s Catholic Academy has made a big splash by claiming victory at the BHCET Swimming Gala 2025, held at Mill House Leisure Centre in Hartlepool! This annual event is one of the highlights of the sporting calendar for schools across the Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust, and this year was no exception.

The gala brought together five secondary schools from the Trust for an afternoon of competitive swimming, teamwork, and incredible sportsmanship. From the very first race, the atmosphere was electric - students cheered each other on, showing determination and resilience in every stroke.

Our swimmers demonstrated outstanding technique and commitment, securing top positions in multiple races and ultimately earning the overall win for St. Michael’s. This achievement reflects not only their talent but also the hard work and dedication they’ve shown in training sessions throughout the year.

Events like these are about more than medals - they build confidence, encourage healthy competition, and strengthen friendships across schools. We couldn’t be prouder of our students for representing St Michael’s with such enthusiasm and grace.

A huge thank you to Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust for organising another fantastic event. We’re already looking forward to next year’s gala and continuing to celebrate sporting excellence at St. Michael’s!
